Updated Card For IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Knockdown 2021
Deonna Purrazzo again faces the unknown, plus a Daffney Memorial Monster's Ball on 9 October!
The card for Knockouts Knockdown, IMPACT Wrestling's next IMPACT Plus and Ultimate Insiders special, is now complete following last night's IMPACT broadcast.
The most notable addition comes with a four-way Monster's Ball in memory of the late Daffney, featuring Savannah Evans, Jordynne Grace, Kimber Lee, and Alisha Edwards. Gail Kim booked the match, having seen Alisha ambush Kimber and Brandi Lauren for kidnapping Swingerella #3.
For those wondering why this particular match is a Daffney memorial, she and Taylor Wilde contested the inaugural knockouts Monster's Ball back in 2009 after the match had been made popular by the likes of Abyss and Sabu.
Decay's Rosemary and Havok defend the Knockouts Tag Team Titles against Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne of the Influence, plus Deonna Purrazzo will put her Knockouts Title on the line against an opponent of Mickie James' choosing. This is part of a Pick Your Poison gimmick arranged by Gail Kim, with James presumably facing Deonna's handpicked opponent within the next two IMPACT episodes.
Rounding out the card is a one-night, single-elimination tournament to crown a Knockouts Title contender post-Bound For Glory. Involved in this are regular knockouts Tasha Steelz, Chelsea Green, Rachael Ellering, and Brandi Lauren, as well as outside talent in Jamie Senegal, Renee Michelle, Lady Frost, and Mercedes Martinez.
