The Rock promises some "disruptive moves" are on the horizon.

Having returned to WWE programming on last week's SmackDown, The Rock has now promised some "disruptive moves" on the horizon.

Of course, that Rock return saw him set his sights on Cody Rhodes' "soul", implying the Final Boss wants the American Nightmare to be his corporate champion. The Rock didn't want an immediate answer from Cody, but instead gave the WWE Champion a deadline for Elimination Chamber - where the Great One will be in attendance at Toronto's Rogers Center to get a yes or a no from Rhodes.

Since then, this week's Raw saw Cody Rhodes torn over what to do, with Seth Rollins warning Cody not to make Rollins hate him by opting to side with The Rock. And while it remains to be seen what's next for Cody, many fans have already speculated that Rocky might have A.N. Other "soul" lined up should Rhodes turn him down.

With the ratings now in, last week's SmackDown drew the highest rating since the show returned to USA Network in September, being up 22% from the prior week and averaging 1.736 million viewers. As for the key 18-49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.51 number, which is an 18% increase from the previous episode. The show also beat all other networks in the key demo, including college football on Fox and ESPN's NBA coverage.

Reacting to these numbers, Dwayne Johnson took to X, which is where he promised those "disruptive moves" that are still to come.

The Rock's Disruptive Moves

So, what could The Rock mean by "disruptive moves"?

Uber-babyface Cody Rhodes accepting Rock's offer and becoming a heel corporate champion could certainly be called disruptive, but it seems more likely that Cody will decline that offer at Elimination Chamber. And if so, could one of the men vying for Rhodes' WWE Title instead join forces with the Final Boss? The prospect of CM Punk embracing The Rock is a hugely intriguing one, whereas some fans are still eager for a John Cena heel turn, even if it seems questionable to do such a turn in Cena's final year. Then again, Big Match John has said how desperate he is to win that record-setting 17th World Title, and aligning with The Rock would definitely improve Cena's odds.

Already established as a top heel who forever feels the world is against him, the Drew McIntyre character would be an ideal fit for The Rock, but that would maybe lack the shock factor of a tried-and-tested 'hero' turning to the dark side. Which nicely brings us to Seth Rollins. Sure, Rollins went to war against The Rock at WrestleMania 40 last year, being the MVP in Cody Rhodes finally finishing his story, but the one-time Architect of The Shield does have previous when it comes to selling his soul for personal gain. Of course, Damien Priest and Logan Paul are the other names competing in the men's Elimination Chamber and trying to earn themselves a WrestleMania main event against Cody, but, being frank, either of those joining The Rock would be hugely underwhelming.

Now, all of this talk about potential "disruptive moves" is without even addressing the idea that maybe, just maybe, The Rock might lace up his boots again and somehow be shoehorned into a major WrestleMania match, possibly even against Cody Rhodes. That in itself then throws up plentiful questions about the men's Elimination Chamber. Not to mention, there's the small matter of the wider Bloodline saga that Rock has been involved with, plus a certain Original Tribal Chief that's been absent since being taken out by Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble.

Either way, we should at least have a little more of an idea of where things could be heading next once Elimination Chamber rolls around on Saturday.
