What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?

3. WrestleMania 33

When the WWE Championship is not the headlining match, that becomes the simplest answer more often than not, and that was once again the case with WrestleMania 33.

In a perfect world, Kevin Owens doesn't drop the WWE Universal Championship to Goldberg, and he goes on to wrestle Chris Jericho in the main event as the most interesting storyline going in 2017.

Vince McMahon didn't want that, though, and sabotaged it, demoting it to United States title status, putting it on second, and putting his eggs in the basket of a Goldberg and Brock Lesnar rematch.

Randy Orton had won the Royal Rumble that year and would go on to defeat Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship, but given McMahon's state of mind at the time, there is absolutely no way he would have gone with those two as a headliner over Lesnar and Goldberg.

This means either their match would have been longer, or it would have gone down as the quickest main event in WWE history, as they only wrestled less than five minutes.
