What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?

29. WrestleMania 7

For anyone suggesting The Undertaker's match against Jimmy Snuka would take the WrestleMania VII slot, they're looking at it through retrospective goggles. His streak had not become a thing, and he wasn't anywhere close to the icon he would become. That was just one of many matches all filling up the undercard and midcard, along with Jake Roberts against Rick Martel, Earthquake beating Greg Valentine, and The Mountie beating Tito Santana.

Had Big Boss Man defeated Mr. Perfect by pinfall instead of disqualification to win the Intercontinental Championship, that could be more in the running. The same for Virgil against Ted DiBiase, if that had been when Virgil won the Million Dollar Championship, but that didn't come until SummerSlam.

The true No. 2 main event is clearly the retirement match between The Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage, and it's not even a close race despite all those great names listed and many others on the card.

Warrior had just won the world title and beaten Hogan in the main event the prior year, Savage was a multi-time World champion who main-evented twice before, and the retirement aspect gives it an extra boost of importance.
