What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?

28. WrestleMania 8

It's a good thing Savage's retirement didn't actually stick, as he arguably should have been the headlining act of the next year with WrestleMania VIII, too!

A special shout out should go to Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper for the Intercontinental Championship, which could have easily main-evented any show at any time, but this is a rare scenario where the WWF Championship match is not only not the finale, but it isn't even the second, third, or fourth to last match of the show!

Savage and Ric Flair fight for the top prize in the company in the sixth match of the show, because even the World title and the Royal Rumble winner apparently don't take priority over Hulk Hogan vs. Sid Justice—even when that match ends in a botched disqualification!

It's a travesty that in hindsight, never should have happened. Arguably, with Hogan's heel antics, the way the Royal Rumble match ends, and the star power involved, this should have even been Savage vs. Justice and Flair vs. Hogan, or Hogan and Sid should have been the first night's main event, at least, but that's too revisionist, so The Nature Boy and Macho Man get bumped to night one.
