What Sasha Banks Has Been Busy Without Outside Of WWE
Indefinitely suspended from WWE she might be, but Sasha Banks is still creating.
Sasha Banks might be WWE's most notable full-time absentee at the moment - but the multi-time Women's Championship is staying busy while serving her indefinite suspension from the promotion.
Off television since May, when she and tag team partner Naomi walked out of a Raw taping, Sasha revealed how she has been spending her time during a recent interview with Ahch-To Radio. Most notably, Banks claimed that she wants to get involved in music video production in the near future.
Said Banks of her current endeavours (h/t Fightful):-
"There is so much that I'm creating right now. It's all under an umbrella. I'm an actor, writer, producer, and extraordinaire entertainer. All within those realms, I'm doing something. You just have to stay tuned. You have a microphone, that's something big I want to do. Not podcasting, but music. I don't know if that's the number one next thing because acting...there are a lot of things coming up acting right now. I'm really starting to focus my mind around music and the music realm and being kind of a director in that space of creating a musical video piece."
Banks and Naomi were Women's Tag Team Champions at the time of their walkout. Reportedly leaving their belts on then-Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis' desk before departing Raw, the duo were suspended and stripped of their titles later that week, with WWE announcing the punishment live on SmackDown. Both women are yet to re-emerge on company programming.
An unproductive creative meeting with now-former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is believed to have sparked the duo leaving Raw. McMahon is now out of the promotion, having resigned in disgrace amidst reports he had paid millions of dollars to suppress sexual misconduct allegations over several years, replaced as CEO by co-figureheads Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan. Laurinaitis followed him out the door last month.
WWE's executive shakeup has created increased speculation on a seemingly-imminent Banks/Naomi return. This is yet to materialise, despite Triple H becoming the company's creative lead in July.
