What They Did Next: WWE 2021 Releases - Part 2
1. Daniel Bryan
A workhorse who loved wrestling more than the lifestyle it afforded him, the American Dragon was seemingly capable of having a good match with almost anyone. Just look at his selfless loss to Kofi in a match that provided jaded fans with a truly feel-good moment. Or how at Survivor Series when a very much underdog Bryan was facing Brock Lesnar and twisted the perception of a traditional Brock squash into a dizzying match that defied expectations and made us believe in the heel.
Despite feeling like a hint of the direction the company should have been heading in, Bryan, as with everything good in WWE, got over not because of but in spite of every effort they made to build their brand around anyone else.
Fans had been waiting for Bryan to finally get sick of WWE for years, so it was no surprise to anyone when he showed up at All Out and was immediately set on a collision course with fellow best bout machine, Kenny Omega. And, with so many other talents in AEW that Bryan has yet to face, this can only be a good thing for fans.
