What TNT REALLY Think Of AEW Dynamite - Revealed

... and what do TNT's boardroom changes mean for the Wednesday night show?

The heavy promotion push TNT has given AEW Dynamite for this week's rescheduled Saturday show indicates that Tony Khan's flagship show is seen as a "prime property" by the network.

So says Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing that while outgoing WarnerMedia executive Kevin Reilly was the driving force in bringing wrestling back to the network, the organisation's CEO, Jason Kilar, isn't an "anti-wrestling guy."

This will unquestionably ease the minds of those worried about AEW's future following the recent boardroom shakeup.

Meltzer points towards the heavy promotion for this week's Dynamite as evidence. The Saturday timeslot has been pushed heavily throughout recent NBA games, which were the reason for the reshuffle in the first place. Dynamite airs in the old NWA/WCW timeslot of 6pm to kickstart a hectic series of shuffles, continuing through mid-September.

Dynamite has continued to outperform initial projections on Wednesdays and is now frequently finishing amongst the top 10 cable shows for the night, having done so for seven consecutive weeks prior to the rearrangements.

The writeup also states that while a start date hasn't been confirmed for AEW's second TNT show yet, it is still very much on the cards, with an announcement due "sooner rather than later."
