Bianca Belair has been filming some brand new vignettes for WWE SmackDown recently. If you haven't seen them, then think back to those classic ones Mr. Perfect did and you'll be on the right lines. There's no doubting that her sprinting and sports-style shoots are directly inspired by what Curt Hennig did in the 1980s.

Belair confirmed that during an interview with FOX Sports, then said that she was the one who approached Vince McMahon with the pitch. The new SmackDown star had been interested in pitching similar vignettes since she was on NXT, but didn't think the time was right.

That changed when she moved brands.

Belair said it was "nerve-wracking" to think about strolling up to Vince backstage and making her pitch, but she also realised that nobody else was going to 'cheerlead' for her. So, Bianca swallowed her fear, formulated a foolproof plan and made sure to "come correct" so that McMahon couldn't turn her away.

The boss was impressed by how fleshed-out her ideas were, and it didn't take long before he was giving Belair the go-ahead to film some stuff.
