12. 2015 (Seth Rollins)
Arise, Sir Seth.
A truly excellent Triple Threat vs. Brock Lesnar and John Cena at the Royal Rumble show in January readied Rollins for what was coming next. He carved out what appeared to be his WrestleMania moment by working a fab RKO spot with Randy Orton on the grand stage, but that wouldn't be a wrap on Seth's evening.
His Money In The Bank cash in was known as "the heist of the century" for years, but it's easy to focus on that and pretty much nothing else from Seth's 2015. That'd be a crying shame. His steel cage bout vs. Orton at Extreme Rules, then a Fatal-4-Way win at Payback rules. Back to back bouts vs. old Shield cohort Dean Ambrose at Elimination Chamber and MITB worked well, then he faced Brock Lesnar at Battleground before jousting with Cena in a cracking 'Title vs. Title' match at SummerSlam.
From there, Rollins pulled double duty at Night Of Champions vs. Cena (for the United States belt) and Sting (for his own WWE Title). Sadly, Seth's year ended on a low note due to injury mid-feud with Kane, but what a 2015 Rollins lived. Who knows just how far he would've taken it had injury not struck at the worst possible time and ruled him out of 'Mania 32 season?
WWE wanted to push Roman Reigns as the biggest ex-Shield member going, but it was Rollins who quickly beat him to the mountaintop by continuing his run as The Authority's golden boy. Those twin 'Mania moments of RKO bump and MITB cash in would be tough to beat.
