And so it's in the books: Wrestlemania 29 has now come and gone, and we are now just 364 days away from Wrestlemania XXX. As we move forward into the WWE New Year, let's take a quick look back at last night's Showcase Of The Immortals, and the 5 things we have learned as we head into post-Wrestlemania 29 territory.
5. Fandango Fails To Impress
All the hype, all the glamour, the addition of a wrestling legend, and the push of a lifetime towards a Wrestlemania wrestling debut was not enough to save Fandango from utter disappointment. The debut match he had with Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 29 is already forgettable, and the Fandango character already feels lost in the wind. I was not a fan of this character going into this show, but had high hopes with the addition of Jericho to the match. Jericho couldn't pull a memorable match out of Fandango, and the botched finish created by Fandango's misplacement prior to the Lionsault only sealed the deal.
