WrestleMania 31 Spoilers: 10 Things That Won't Happen Tonight

5. Samoa Joe Debuts

When Samoa Joe returned to Ring of Honor following the end of his working relationship with TNA Wrestling, most assumed it meant that he would star for the promotion that made him a marquee attraction on the independent scene. Considering the fact that ROH had trouble keeping stars, especially recently, with WWE raiding them for talent to incorporate in NXT, Joe would give them a household name they could lean on to help bolster ratings and live event attendance. Then, shortly after ROH's 13th Anniversary pay-per-view went off the air, rumors circulated that Joe had stopped taking Indy bookings and that, in fact, he would finally sign with World Wrestling Entertainment, venturing to the one company he needed to compete in in order to solidify his legacy as one of his generation's best. To make matters more interesting, he Tweeted prior to his trip to San Francisco that he had some surprises for fans in the Bay Area this weekend. With so many promotions and federations in California for WrestleMania weekend, something that has become a tradition over the last few years as companies look to take advantage of the fact that so many thousands of fans have made a pilgrimage to the host city, Joe is likely to pop up at a number of shows. Unexpected appearances at high-profile Indy events are likely what Joe is referring to. While it would be nice to see him make a WWE debut in front of his hometown crowd, he is likely to land in NXT way before he is involved in anything on the main roster, thus ruling out a WrestleMania debut of any kind.
