WWE: 10 Candidates To Be The New Raw General Manager

9. Shane McMahon

"Here comes the money!" It's hard to believe it's been over five years since we last heard those catchy entrance theme lyrics on WWE TV. Prior to his departure from the company, Shane McMahon was embroiled in a heated rivalry with Randy Orton and The Legacy who targeted the entire McMahon family for the first half of 2009. Shane also served as the interim Raw General Manager in late 2008 after his father recovered from the Million Dollar Mania set collapsing on top of him (remember that horrific angle?) at the 2008 WWE Draft. Since the start of The Authority angle in August 2013, longtime members of the WWE Universe have been calling for the return of Shane to the WWE. It only makes sense, regardless of what side he chooses. He could join his sister Stephanie and brother-in-law Triple H in their hostile takeover of the company, or he could align with Daniel Bryan and/or The Shield in their rebellion against The Authority. Fans wouldn't even mind seeing him return to form a tag team with Zack Ryder. They just want him back in WWE. It's hard to blame them. Shane, while an entertaining on-air personality, was a great wrestler and an underrated one at that. His matches with the likes of Kurt Angle, Steve Blackman and even his own father were highlights of The Attitude Era that have not since been forgotten by fans. He wouldn't need to compete in the ring if he were to make a comeback to the company, but it would be welcome. He was last seen on WWE TV getting the living daylights beat out of him at the hands of Orton, so it'd be stellar storytelling for him to return to exact his revenge on The Legend Killer and his Evolution running mates. Shane recently stated in an interview that a WWE return is certainly a possibility, but might not be in the cards right now. Regardless, a return as the GM of Raw would be a pleasant surprise.
