WWE: 10 Drug Scandals Wrestling Didn't Want You To Know About

9. Ric Flair's Partying

ric flair tna The Nature Boy Ric Flair has a legendary reputation - both inside the ring and outside the ropes. The man has been one of the hardest party animals in all of entertainment, and has stated that even the Rolling Stones would have been unable to match his "energy" for all night partying. Perhaps Flair really is just an "energetic" guy. But the speculation about how the Naitch buzzes with such energy has always been debated. Is it really natural for a guy to in the 1980's to work on the east coast in a matinee show, wrestle an evening show and then fly to Las Vegas by private jet for an all night party before flying back to the east coast for another two performances the next day? Flair boasts about this energy for partying in WWE's 2003 DVD Ric Flair collection, but there are several more similar accounts. Take for example the story in Flair's 2004 autobiography, when one night Flair's wife got home to find a "drunken" Flair in the backyard with a naked Terry Funk (with a knife in his mouth) who was on all fours stalking Flair's dog in the garden. In that same autobiography, Flair details his problems with paranoia, psychosis and his nervous system. All side effects of specific over-indulgences. When it comes to the 80's wrestler party lifestyle, Ric was the true champion - and god knows what else went on in the penthouse suites he would rent for partying in the crazy drug fuelled days of that era.
