8. Pill Popping Shawn Michaels Reported To Vince By Triple H
Born again Christian Shawn Michaels has been the first to admit his horrible behaviour when abusing drugs. Pain killers and "uppers" were the drugs of choice for Shawn, and it seemed as if he was even drugged out on TV in various "strange" segments during his 96-98 run. Take for example the segment in which Michaels went to the ring for an interview with Jim Ross in just his underwear and shades. Things came to a head for Shawn Michaels in 2002. He was being lined up for a big in-ring return at Wrestlemania 17, when Triple H found his best friend completely out of it backstage at a tv taping. Hunter was disgusted at the slurring Michaels, and went to Vince McMahon to report him. Vince was also furious and Shawn was sent home. The Game and the Heartbreak Kid did not speak for some time after this. Thankfully, Shawn found god and got clean. Speaking of his drug abuse now, Shawn states in his autobiography "I was doing everything I could to kill myself except put a loaded weapon in my hand."
