WWE: 10 Drug Scandals Wrestling Didn't Want You To Know About

6. Even Wholesome Good Guy Bret Hart Got In On The Coke

bret hart Such was the prevelance of cocaine in the 1980's pro wrestling scene, that even holier than thou Bret Hart got in on the white stuff. In the same 2007 autobiography in which he criticized other wrestlers drug habits, Bret admits that he himself got involved with cocaine. Bret talks about one party in which he entered a room to find a mountain of cocaine on the table. Surrounded by his peers, the Hitman snorted back a couple of lines. He goes on to say in the book that this earned him the trust of other wrestlers, who stopped seeing him as the son of Stu Hart and started seeing Bret as one of the boys. The rest of the book also serves as a pretty good account on just how much coke and steroids really were knocking around the industry in the 80's and 90's. It borders on scary. But then again, it was all through Hollywood and the music industry too. Drug problems are not exclusive to the wrestling industry, the entertainment industry as a whole was scattered with cocaine back in those crazy days.
