The master of the Neutralizer went 239 days from last year's Summerslam until this April as United States champion. Cesaro beat Santino Marella and then knocked off the likes of Zack Ryder, Justin Gabriel, R-Truth and The Miz in six successful pay-per-view defences throughout the autumn of 2012 and winter of 2012-13. Kofi Kingston dethroned him on an episode of RAW. Cesaro, despite his initial gimmick being a Swiss than spoke multiple languages, has gone on to form a tag team with Jack Swagger called the Real Americans.
