WWE: 10 Matches Brock Lesnar Needs To Have Before He Quits

9. Ryback

Ryback2 This time last year, Ryback was being talked about as a future cornerstone of the WWE main event scene for years to come. Oh what a difference a year makes. Having seemingly swapped PPV main events for cryptic, office-displeasing tweets and working stiff and sloppy, I genuinely think that Ryback has a fight on his hands to still be with the WWE by the time 2014 comes to a close. A rushed heel turn and being his own worst enemy has seen the former Skip Sheffield go from being a serious threat to CM Punk's WWE Title to being a serious threat to 3MB's spot as jobbers on Main Event. Given Vince McMahon's penchant for jacked-up monsters, I'm sure VKM was licking his lips at the possibility of his new monster, Ryback, going up against the returning beast of yesteryear, Brock Lesnar. It seems like a given that Lesnar will get to go up against one of the current roster meat-heads at some point but, right now, one would have to say that the returning Batista and Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston are likely top of the list in that regard. Hell, even Mason Ryan likely has more of a chance of fighting Brock than Ryback does at this point. Still, given Ryback's outspoken attitude and Brock's no-BS approach, it'd be brilliant to see the legit Lesnar tear Ryback to shreds.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic. Between his main day job, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks/Saints, Jamie Hayter, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg.
