The 45-0 boxer is a legitimate star and his involvement with WWE in 2008 created huge mainstream attention for the 24th Wrestlemania season. Mayweather claims WWE paid him $20 million for his appearances that year, and given the box office performance of Wrestlemania 24, he was probably just about worth that figure. There is of course the possibility that Mayweather exaggerated that figure, as no official WWE accounts showed that sum but that doesn't mean the McMahon's didn't pay part of the fee themselves. This moment at No Way Out 2008 in Las Vegas set the whole thing up. It almost comes across as a work turned shoot, Big Show is doing a standard angle with Mayweather when all of a sudden the boxing legend lays some very real looking punches on the giant. All of a sudden Mayweather bolts out of there as Show and WWE security go ballistic. Shane McMahon (a huge boxing fan) is seen coming to Show to calm him down. It was a cool moment and as a big boxing fan I really enjoyed it.
