WWE: 10 Reasons Randy Orton Was The Right Choice To Unify Titles
7. He Is Still Young
It feels as if Randy has been around forever. It feels as if he should have already had his peak. But aged just 33 you could argue that Orton's best days are still ahead of him. The Unified Champion is three years younger than Cena, two years younger than Punk and just a year older than Daniel Bryan. When you consider that Ric Flair's greatest ever year in wrestling came when he was aged 40, you could argue that Orton has at least another decade on top in WWE. By re-committing to Orton at TLC, the WWE has paved a way to build a new future around the still young man. He can be a focal point of 2014 as a corporate champion holding dictatorship over the industry. With a continued push he can become the most hated heel of all time. Orton has a future. The choice of Cena as champion at TLC was less compelling, he has indeed peaked, and apart from a heel turn you have to wonder how WWE can extend Cena's status as a main eventer for the years to come.
