WWE: 10 Reasons Why Michael Cole Needs To Be Removed As The 'Voice'
3. He is Obviously Sexist and Misogynistic When It Comes to Divas Wrestling
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxIJjbdaWkE Now you might turn to me with that headline & say "but as part of his heel character he was meant to be disrespectful to the divas." Well, sorry to tell you, but he has been treating Divas matches with impunity and outdated misogynistic attitudes long before they decided to go heel with him. Even in the days of Trish, Lita and Molly Holly, arguably the greatest female wrestlers in history and the peak of the divas division. He used their time on TV as an excuse to try out his annoying banter or humour that I have already pointed out previously. And to top it all of he actually laughs at their efforts mid match. Its pure insanity and I find it remarkable that no one has called him out on this. He literally treats these women like they simply don't matter. I tell you what, go back and watch some of those matches, he tends to cover up his laughing at them by saying something like "that was a unique move" as if he was actually commenting on their skill when he did his whiny little cackle. And to re-iterate the previous point of being repetitive, he used that exact same sentence again on the recent RAW I tuned into. He laughed at the women in the ring then said, "that was a unique move." Are you serious bro? He has been doing this since day one and you can't tell me I'm the only one who has noticed this. And then came the moment when he (or his character) did turn heel and that just drove the point home. I'm sorry, but he was way too convincing in his "acting" on season 03 of NXT to convince me he did not mean every damn thing he said on that show in regards to female wrestling. Considering the way he has acted in the past as "just a commentator" in his downright disrespectful attitude towards the talented Divas that have graced the WWE throughout the years I can find no reason why this rhetoric coming from the "evil" Michael Cole is not what he actually thinks in real life. And the Divas division has suffered because of this, almost becoming non existent in 2011-12. Like I mention time and time again, why should we care about a division of the WWE when the commentator himself finds it a joke and has no qualms about letting us know? I have noticed that since the Divas reality show has become a hit, his comments appear to be a lot more positive (apart from the incident I mentioned previously) but after so many years of telling us how bored he is with the whole thing, it comes off as complete bullflop.
Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life????
