10. Matt Hardy Attacks Edge

Guy that got cheated on was fired over it even though he really did nothing wrong. Guy returns and a wrestling feud becomes very personal. That's the genesis of the all too real feud between Matt Hardy and Edge with new WWE Hall of Famer Lita as the focus. Fans knew the story online because it was talked about a lot in 2005 largely because Matt Hardy was very vocal about it. Then WWE brought the story to TV and turned it into an angle. When Matt came back as a surprise, called Lita whore and told WWE to kiss his ass it was a really big deal. It was also a case of a cocky heel being forced to shut up too. That's what made it so memorable. When they had their matches, Matt actually got the win in a steel cage match to end it at Unforgiven 2005 (thanks to that leg drop off the top of the cage) although Edge is the one that ended up as the bigger star. For the sake of this list, Hardy's the one that overcame the forces of evil and won the battle in the end.
