WWE: 10 Steps To Booking Sting vs The Undertaker At WrestleMania 31

8. The OTHER Streak Should Be Born - May 2014- March 2015

Sting copy Somewhere in May, after the Honeymoon period of his arrival has tread its course, it's time to begin a different streak of 22-0. The streak of the Death Drop. After several weeks of doing nothing but observing, Sting can finally return to the ring. Now, I personally would have him drop from the rafters. Yes, the Owen Hart tragedy will live forever in our minds and there will, inevitably, be people who complain but as Jim Ross used to say: "One can't grieve for ever." WWE would, obviously, ensure the highest standard of safety tests and risk assessments were completed and I have no doubt in my mind of there being any danger whatsoever of another tragedy like Owen occurring again. It won't. However, it isn't completely vital to the image, Sting could just come in through the crowd and it would probably work well enough. Sting enters the ring, either during a match or after it and drops somebody with the Scorpion Death Drop. That unlucky soul (basically, Dolph Ziggler) gets the honour of being #1. 1-0. Sting can make some kind of a gesture to this effect- I personally like the idea of a bell. Not the ring bell but an old-school, classic, bronze bell, hanging from a mobile strut. Every time Sting lays someone out, he rings the bell. There's a symbolism here with Undertaker's gong and we've all seen the shots from films of crows perched atop of a bell. For the next few weeks things would continue in this vein. Sting comes in, drops someone and rings the bell. By the time Summerslam comes along, Sting should have amassed 11-0, without reply.
