WWE: 10 Superstars Who Desperately Need A Heel Or Face Turn

5. Curtis Axel

Curtis Axel Curtis Axel has been a heel since debuting in WWE back in May 2013. He has just lost the Inter continental title to Big E Langston, ending a 5 month reign. The majority of that push was pretty dull, Axel never really got over that big, and was more often than not the filler man in CM Punk's feud with Lesnar and Ryback. The Curtis Axel heel push has failed, and it is time to repackage the man as a baby face. WWE should re-push Axel as the second coming of "Mr. Perfect". Axel would surely fare better in a face role in which he pays tribute to his fondly remembered and much respected father, Curt Hennig. Axel clearly has in ring talent, he is athletic and can land a mean drop kick. A face role will allow him to fully play to the audience and demonstrate his exciting skill range. Perhaps the ultimate way to get Axel over as a face would be to send him in the direction of his former manager, Paul Heyman. The Walrus is a classic heel, but he is without a story right now following the conclusion of the Punk feud. Maybe it would be beneficial for everyone involved if Heyman picked upon a new act, and Axel then went after the pair. The revenge storyline is always a classic way of getting a babyface some meaning.
