WWE: 10 Superstars That Retired Before They Were 40

8. Beth Phoenix

beth phoenix The "Glamazon" is one of my favorite women in wrestling history because she looks the part as well as any woman I've ever seen. Not only that, but she comes across as a genuine person that was also very good at turning up the heat, so to speak, when the situation called for it. Phoenix had a very successful WWE career with 3 Women's Title reigns and 1 Divas Championship as well. She left WWE in 2012 at the age of 31. Since she started in 2001 she was able to put ten years in before walking away. It's not like you can blame her for walking away. After all those years in the business and all that travel, what more she could do? She won everything. She feuded with a lot of different girls. Walking away at a young age makes sense if you want to pursue other things like an education or start a family. Phoenix currently lives with her boyfriend Edge, who retired from WWE in 2011 due to a neck injury. You can read about him later on in this feature. It's great that they were able to find happiness in WWE together as well as in their life after their WWE run was over. Could she come back? Of course. She's in incredible shape and would likely pick up where she left off, but whether she wants to come back is another story.
