WWE: 10 WrestleMania 30 Main Events That Would Have Been Better Than Orton vs Batista

4. Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan Brock Lesnar What would be an even better opponent for Lesnar at WrestleMania? A first time ever encounter against WWE's current hottest star, Daniel Bryan. If Punk was portrayed as an underdog against Lesnar, the shorter and lighter Daniel Bryan who WWE still seemingly haven't gotten behind would be the 'ultimate underdog' as WWE have taken a liking to calling him. As previously mentioned, upon returning in December Lesnar declared himself number one contender. Whilst Bryan has been chasing the championship for months which fans wanted to culminate in a Royal Rumble win. So if that had happened it would automatically set Bryan up to challenge for the championship at WrestleMania against frequent rival Randy Orton right? Not quite. As signalled by the handshake above, Triple H put his problems with Lesnar aside upon his return and given Orton's inability to overcome Bryan single handed over the autumn he might even have been willing to place Lesnar as the new 'Face of the WWE' in order to stop Bryan from winning the championship. This would take place at Elimination Chamber between Orton and Lesnar with The Authority not even having to pick a side until after the match when they align with new champion Brock Lesnar. Imagine the unit of The Authority's Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane in an alliance with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. That is a lot for Bryan to overcome, so what a moment when Bryan actually manages it to close out the biggest show.
