When it comes to pro wrestling, "doing the job" is all part of the business. Ultimately the WWE is a scripted fantasy in which characters rotate through peaks and troughs of a story arc. The problem for many people in the business is an unwillingness to accept their place in company, which over the years has led to several creative disputes. The prime case in example right now is CM Punk, who has apparently quit because he wasn't happy with the creative ideas for his character. Is a professional worker ever in the right to walk out on the boss over creative disagreements? That's open to debate. On the one hand, CM Punk deserves good creative given his popularity with the audience, but who is to say if his creative was good or bad? And just because he disagrees with the boss does it give him the right to break his contract? In the wider world I would guess that lots of employees disagree with company decisions, but soldier on anyway for financial reasons or personal pride. There is an undoubted element of ego that comes into play when a talent says "this creative isn't good enough for me, I'm outta here," but then again, some of the walkouts detailed in this feature you may find yourself agreeing with. So here it is, a look at 11 other cases of a wrestler taking a look at what the promoter had planned creatively and deciding to quit instead. If you agree or disagree with the walkout (or can think of any others) then get the debate going in the comments below!
