WWE: 15 Best (As Themselves) Wrestler Cameos In TV & Movies
10. Bret Hart Buys Mr. Burns' Mansion: The Simpsons
Plot: After a series of bad investments, C. Montgomery Burns is bankrupt, and has to sell his mansion. The first buyer to come through is wrestling superstar Bret "The Hitman" Hart, who decides to buy the mansion despite its persistent "old man stink." Luckily for Hart, his neighbour is fellow wrestler "The Shrieking Sheik," and he makes the sale. For the Hitman - a lifelong Simpsons fan - this appearance was a dream. He and Bart shared the cover of WWF Magazine, and - during the Hart Foundation/D-Generation X feud - told Shawn Michaels to never badmouth The Simpsons (Hart was wearing a Bart t-shirt at the time.) Further cementing the popularity of this cameo, it was recently announced that Hart would be one of 25 celebrities to get an action figure made of them in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Simpsons. That figure will be available in June 2014. Fox and the producers of The Simpsons are notorious for removing clips from YouTube of their intellectual property, so a video of his appearance in Springfield was not online. Instead, enjoy this clip of Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer discussing Hitman's purchase of Mr. Burns' mansion as if it were a real occurrence on Wrestling Observer Radio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxLZA_VgszU
