WWE 2K25: 12 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
11. Use The Carry System To Put Your Opponent Back In The Ring In An Underground Match
A WWE video game will never match, exactly, what is happening on company programming.
It is an ever-changing product. It is literally unattainable to have every facet of what you see on RAW, SmackDown, and all the rest of it be accurately imitated within a digitised sports entertainment world.
That goes, too, for the way the game plays. In the real world, you wouldn't grab your opponent in a collar-and-elbow lockup just to body slam them: you'd just body slam them. This is why the game's carry system, wherein you can place your opponent in one of four positions (Powerbomb, cradle, over-the-shoulder, and fireman's carry) and execute whichever moves fit the position, will never be quite right. You can perform the Batista Bomb using this method, but why would you in real life? It is too intricate and easily reversible.
The system has a unique use when partaking in Underground matches, as placing an opponent in any of these positions while at ringside will allow you to place them back into the ring, owing to the stipulation's lack of ring ropes. Simply lift your opponent walk towards the ring apron, and press the system's environmental attack button (square on PlayStation, X on Xbox).
This, for what it's worth, will also work when playing around the practice ring in the WWE Archives backstage brawl.
