WWE: 6 Current Superstars Who Are (Almost) Hall Of Famers

2. Christian

There have been some recent reports that the 40 year old Christian has a contract that is expiring later this year. There's a chance that his in-ring career could be over at that point because injuries have slowed him down in the last couple of years to the point that he was barely visible the last two years. Perhaps he'll sign a one year deal once his current deal expires, but if he does call it a career there's nothing wrong with that either. He's a guy that won pretty much every title there is to win in WWE except the WWE Title. The two World Title wins he had in 2011 were victories I didn't really expect to ever see from him. He's always been talented, but to be elevated to that level was a nice surprise. Christian's a guy that doesn't look like a typical main eventer. He's the size of a crusierweight. Never had a muscular build either. He made it work, though. His matches have been typically very good and in terms of promos he always displayed a lot of confidence whether he was a heel or face. His induction will likely mean that his best friend Edge will be the guy that does the speech just like Christian did for him. It's only fitting if it happens that way because the two friends from Toronto grew up in the business together and formed one of the best tag teams ever as well. Sure, Edge went on to become the better singles star of the two, but Christian definitely held his own and has a lot to be proud of. Part of the reason they were so successful as a team was because they were both very talented, neither guy was the weak link and it showed in everything they did in the ring together. He should be considered a lock for the WWE Hall of Fame. He's worked for WWE for 13 years now (went to TNA for 3 years), won nearly everything there was to win and is one of the most well known wrestlers of his era. It's a no brainer to me. Here's hoping he can end his career on the right note, however that may be.
