WWE: 6 Simple Steps To Rebuild The Mid-Card Titles

1. Longevity With The Title Should be Rewardedcody rhodes Cody Rhodes had the WWE Intercontinental Championship for 236 days- a reign that was acclaimed in many people's eyes as putting some legitmacy back into the Intercontinental Title. He is still currently floundering around the mid card after this reign and doesn't seem to be going anywhere quickly. Fact is, that if a person holds a mid card belt for that long it makes sense that he should be challenging for one of the top card belts. So there should be a 'title clause' for the United States and Intercontinental Championships that states that anyone that holds the title for over 200 days ( that's approx. half a year ) has the chance to relinquish their championship for the chance to participate in a World Title Match of their choosing ( either the WWE or World Heavyweight Title ) within a given time period of them relinquishing the mid card title ( say 3 months. This would allow long holders of the title to seem legitimate because if they hold it for long enough they could get a shot at the big titles. The three month time period ensures that the mid card superstar would keep the hype that he got after 'cashing in' for the title shot while allowing any feuds that the current World Champion is in to run their natural course. The mid card champions would no longer seem like they are spinning their wheels because if they hold it for long enough they could be main eventing. So they're my ideas. What are yours?
