4. Jerry Lynn
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC9_v98mOoQ Staying with the Light Heavyweight championship for a moment, after WWE completed their monopoly of the wrestling world by purchasing WCW and ECW, Jerry Lynn made his debut on Sunday Night Heat in April 2001. Lynn was a former ECW world champion and had incredible matches with Rob Van Dam during his time in Paul Heyman's extreme universe. Upon his debut, he issued a challenge to champion Crash Holly. Holly had a popular run as the Hardcore champion when that title was defended 24 hours a day, 7 days per week (a brilliant idea). After a criminally short match, Lynn rolled up Holly with a handful of tights and captured the Light Heavyweight title on his debut. Unfortunately for Lynn, despite being a great wrestler and a legitimately nice guy, he did not go on to the success that Christian experienced. Lynn eventually lost the Light Heavyweight title to Jeff Hardy and, aside from a great match with his former rival Rob Van Dam, he accomplished nothing of note until his release in February 2002.
