WWE: 7 Memorable Heel Victories At WrestleMania

5. WrestleMania 20 - Evolution Defeats The Rock And Mick Foley

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2jhsj9LQVo This was one of those matches that is underrated in terms of how awesome it was. Mick Foley needed a partner to deal with Evolution, so The Rock came back to reform the Rock N Sock Connection. It was the last match that Rock had for eight years. The heel side was comprised of Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair. It was so fun to see Flair in the ring with The Rock. Seeing The Rock imitate Flair's moves only for Flair to come back and mock the People's Elbow was hilarious. They're two of the most charismatic guys ever, so it's great that they were able to be a part of the same WrestleMania match. What made this match memorable was that it was done to make Randy Orton look like a bigger star. It was the perfect stage for him because he was able to win the match for his team with a huge RKO on Mick Foley. Orton went on to beat Foley in a memorable match at Backlash one month later and then a few months later he became the youngest World Champion in WWE history. This match set him off on the right path to superstardom. The only criticism I had with it was that they should have had a third guy join Rock & Foley whether it was a young guy or another veteran. That way the win would have meant even more for Evolution and especially Orton. It was still effective in this format. It's just that it could have been a bit better if it was a 3 on 3 type of match.
