WWE: 7 Wrestlers Who Can Most Benefit From Elimination Chamber 2014
3. Batista
It has been a terrible start for Batista in his big WWE return. He's meant to be a super over babyface who we want to triumph at Wrestlemania, but has instead found himself being booed out of buildings. His biggest problem has been the perception he has been booked in Daniel Bryan's spot. When 'The Animal' won the Royal Rumble he was getting a poisoned chalice, because anyone other than Bryan was always going to be booed in that position. Elimination Chamber could fix all of that for Batista. Firstly, Big Dave seems destined to get over as a face by competing against the villainous Alberto Del Rio. I expect a short hard hitting match in which Batista gets all the right pops for his power moves on Del Rio. A win is a given. Secondly, if Daniel Bryan emerges from the Chamber in a way that implicates him in the Mania main event, then a lot of the bad feeling toward Batista will dissipate. The other option is that WWE turn Batista heel against Bryan for Mania, but whatever is in store, I expect Batista's position in WWE to be a lot stronger following whatever creative plans are in store for him this Sunday.
