His tales of €œbeating the shit out of someone the old country way€ and €œhumbling€ them are infamous not only in the wrestling community, but in pop culture. He is notorious for threatening other wrestlers with anal sex, in a way that is not at all implying homosexuality. He has a way of inserting the word €œThe€ before saying someone€™s name, as in €œFACKKK THE HULK HOGAN, FACKKK THE TED DIBIASE€, that is not re-creatable by anyone. Try it, go ahead€see what I mean. I am not going to an Iron Sheik shoot for anything but loud cursing, and near tears laughter. Sheik€™s list of victims includes, Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Rosie O€™Donnell, Brian Blair of the Killer Bees, Brian Knobbs, Scott Hall and many more. The way Sheik tells it, he will break ANYONE€™S back with the camel clutch. He once claimed that he taught Ricky Steamboat how to wrestle. Sheik comes off as under the influence during 90 percent of his shoots, but no drug or drink could possibly turn Iron Sheik up any higher than he naturally is. Do I believe these shoots are the TRUE Iron Sheik? No I don€™t, but it is much more entertaining to imagine they are. Sheik creates the balance needed in the world of shoot interviews, as there are those that are marks for themselves, or take the conservative approach.
