Surprises and reveals are always something to look forward to in wrestling. Sometimes, (well, actually quite often) the promoter over-promises on their news. The most recent case in point was from SmackDown last week where Triple H said that his upcoming announcement was going to Shake the foundation of the WWE. Huh. I dont know about you, but I feel things are pretty much the same as last week I was hoping for a brand split, or the rebirth of WCW or Hunter announcing his retirement, but all we got is Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns at Fast Lane. This ground is most certainly not shaken! To make things even sillier, they made it seem like HHH came up with his idea on the spot! So what exactly was his original plan? In WCW, Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo hyped a big announcement saying that there was nothing Vince McMahon could do about it. You would expect it to be huge to namedrop his competitor, instead it was an ill-fated Goldberg heel turn. In TNA, Dixie Carter seems to have groundbreaking announcements every month. WWE, I thought you were better than that. For shame. Next time you have an announcement, just keep it to yourself! Time to kick out. Agree? Disagree? What was your worst wrestling moment of the week? Sound off below and thanks for reading!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
