WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 24)

3. I Call Ref!

Jericho declared himself as the referee for the opening match on Raw... that's a thing? So anyone can do that? Huh. I never knew! Okay, so Stephanie briefly addressed how Y2J shouldn€™t have done that, but why did anyone take him seriously in the first place? Jericho threw Sheamus and the rest of the League of Nations out of ringside. Why the hell did they willingly leave? Why would they have respected Jericho€™s self proclaimed authority for a single second? What would Rusev have gained by winning that match anyway? And why didn€™t Sheamus just declare himself ref as well? Maybe he could have tossed Jericho out then! Too many questions, too much stupidity. As an aside, later in that backstage segment, Stephanie reminded Chris that it€™s not 1999 anymore. That is a great point, but damn, Steph was an evil authority figure in 1999, 17 years ago. Why do the bad things in WWE never change?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
