WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Jan 31)

1. So, That Was Pointless

Monday night's episode of Raw was built on a simple premise: Impress The Authority, and you just may find yourself in the main event of Fastlane. Somehow, WWE screwed this idea up so inconceivably badly that you have to wonder what the hell they were doing backstage when they wrote the script in the first place. So Hunter and Steph needed to be impressed. Okay, got it. Well, Kevin Owens, one night removed from being thrown through two tables, beat Dolph Ziggler, a former World Champion, in a match cleanly. Not bad. A.J. Styles, in his first WWE match ever beat a six time WWE/World champion. Hey, that€™s pretty good! Bray Wyatt beat Kane in seven minutes. Neat! And yet, it was somehow Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns beating Rusev and Sheamus in 16 minutes that won over the hearts of their bosses. WWE is no longer in the consistent storytelling business. Or they€™re fully invested in the not-caring business. It's hard to tell which. The Authority screwed with Roman for months, and finally got the title off of him. So their bold next step was to give him ANOTHER chance at the WWE title. How in the hell does that make any sense whatsoever? They€™re even giving him better odds than he had the night before. What is wrong with this company? So WWE wasted three hours of our time on Monday Night, wasted the opportunity to freshen up the main event scene, and wasted quite a few of my brain cells trying to make any sense of their poorly written show. Time to kick out. What else do you think deserves to be on this list of the week's worst moments? Share your picks below in the comments thread.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
