WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 19)

7. Breaking Focus

Not long ago, things between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt got extremely personal. Wyatt carried around a photo of Roman and his daughter, taunting him on multiple episodes. Families and public service announcements should be off limits when it comes to feuds. It€™s an un-written rule! So shouldn€™t that make Roman, really, really mad? It was basically a direct threat against his family. Somehow, he seems to have forgotten about it, and is more concerned about a briefcase. Instead of an incredibly personal feud, the storyline has reverted back to Bray costing Roman the Money in the Bank contract, which makes this a really messy, unnecessarily convoluted feud. On SmackDown, Roman was yelling at Bray for trying to €œbreak my focus€ on Raw. Yeah, I guess, but what about the whole daughter thing? To top it off, to set up Battleground, Bray failed in his surprise attack on Roman to end the show. How does that get people to want to see the match? If WWE is going to purposefully ignore details they already established, then maybe they should forget this was ever a feud at all, and just move on.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
