WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 29)

4. Gimme My Belt!

I€™m not quite old enough to have witnessed the final sell for every WrestleMania go-home show as it happened, but has there ever been one as silly and as lackluster as this year's was? Maybe Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant played Twister the week before Mania 3 and it€™s been forgotten to time, but barring something like that, this has to have been the worst! It€™s a bit scary that WWE didn€™t even trust Roman Reigns to say a single word on Raw. This is supposed to be the next top guy in the company, a man that they chose over Daniel Bryan to main event the biggest show of the year. But WWE's top brass didn€™t have enough confidence in Reigns to have him say €œBelieve that!€ or even €œSufferin succotash son!€ Staredowns have worked well in wrestling history, as have pull-apart brawls, but two grown men playing tug-o-war with a belt is something that doesn€™t work well. With Reigns having a rough past few months, this was a sad way for him to end his journey to WrestleMania. Well, that and being booed at the Hall of Fame ceremony. That€™s not good either.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
