Hey, dont get me wrong. I was bummed out to hear about the passing of Joan Rivers. She was funny, and you had to admire her lengthy and influential career. I always assumed shed easily make it to 100. I have no problem with WWE creating a video for her showcasing her involvement in the company in the past. However, it just made me think of how many wrestler deaths of men and women who actually worked in the company full-time for years were completely ignored. Test, Crash Holly, Kanyon, Mike Awesome, Matt Bourne, Chris Candido, Lance Cade, Umaga and others who put their body through a lot of punishment, and lived the grueling wrestling lifestyle werent even given a simple graphic to note their passing. Imagine how that felt for the dead wrestlers' family and friends. Somehow a comedienne who showed up one single time on a WWE show was given an entire video. Yes, it was classy for WWE produce a Joan Rivers tribute, but it just seemed even more out of place for WWE failing to acknowledge another death from their own family just a few days later...
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
