NXT remains an important part to the WWE Network, and the WWE as a whole, as the company will put the spotlight on their development brand yet again next month. It was announced by WWE COO Triple H at tonight's WWE NXT TV tapings that the next live NXT special will take place on Thursday, September 11th. Much like Arrival and Takeover, it will be two hours as opposed to the traditional one hour episodes in which NXT features. WWE will likely hold another set of tapings the next night for the programming in the weeks that follow. Triple H didn't announce a name for the special, but did say that all of the NXT title would be on the line and a new NXT general manager would be revealed on the program. NXT has been making major headlines throughout the world of wrestling over the past several weeks, as the WWE announced that independent and international stars Fergal "Prince" Devitt and KENTA have been signed to contracts and assigned to the NXT brand. Former RoH world champion Kevin Steen is also rumored to have signed a WWE contract, and will likely be heading to the Performance Center and NXT as well.
