The Good: Armageddon 2000 was pretty much a one-match show, with all the credible main event talent put into the first ever six-man Hell in a Cell. The star power on display here is simply astounding, with The Rock, Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle and, erm, Rikishi, all in the same ring at the same time. This one is great because of spectacle alone, but also managed to weave many interesting story threads during the course of the bout. Featuring some great brawling and a really big bump, this one is a lot better than some give it credit for. Could have done without Angle being made to look like the world's least deserving WWE Champion, but you take what you can get. Bit of a nothing undercard but The Radicalz versus Team Extreme elimination match was good fun and the crowd were way into the closing moments when it came down to Dean Malenko vs. Lita. Chris Benoit positively destroyed Billy Gunn to raise the Intercontinental Title. I mean, the Rabid Wolverine just treated him like a jobber out there. And the four team Tag Title match was alright, too. The Bad: Chyna and Val Venis' feud was a mess. They're match here was a washout, despite the best efforts of the porn star-cum-PC flag-waver (Venis, not Chyna). Kane and Chris Jericho's Last Man Standing Match (the result of Y2J spilling a cup of coffee on the understandably burn-conscious Big Red Machine) was neither man's finest hour, to put it mildly. Those two never really clicked. The Rest: WWE did a great job of building up the Cell throughout the night by showing interviews with each of the combatants talking about how brutal it is. Simple but very effective.
