Once more, we return to attire, but this time focus on Jimmy and Jey Uso. Having turned heel on the episode of SmackDown Live immediately before Backlash, The Usos ditched many of their babyface traits for the pay-per-view. For the first time in a long time, their faces weren't painted, and they didn't come out in colourful shorts either.

Instead, both favoured a black aesthetic. One of the twin brothers (said to be Jimmy by Mauro Ranallo) even donned a mesh-style sleeveless body warmer for matches against The Hype Bros and the team of Heath Slater and Rhyno. In doing so, this particular Uso bore a striking resemblance to another family member.

Once associated with Roman Reigns, The Usos had an air of their cousin about them at Backlash. It's unclear whether that was unintentional, but it was definitely a similar style. That sleeveless, almost-military body warmer, the tribal tattoo work, even the long black hair.

At one point, it was like Jimmy Uso had morphed into a copycat version of Roman, causing one of the more unique nuances to the pay-per-view.
