Another positive was that Big Cass regained some of his lost heat post-match by booting Bryan in the skull.

This is a tried and tested WWE trope. The babyface wins "against all the odds", then the heel comes across like a sore loser by smashing them after the bell. Here, it worked enough to give Cass an edge and possibly squeeze another match out of the series on SmackDown.

WWE have six weeks to fill before Money In The Bank, and there are certainly worse ideas than having that Cass vs. Bryan rematch take place in a MITB qualifier.

The big boot Cass delivered post-match suggests that might be the plan over the next few weeks. Sign us up, because a relative rookie like Cass (who's still finding his feet in the heel big man role) will benefit immensely from working with Bryan again in another heated match.
