WWE Backlash 2025: 7 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. Travis Scott Makes Cody Rhodes Look Weak

It's always risky to criticise WWE for using celebrities or making them look strong. Cards on the table, the chap penning this article had never listened to Bad Bunny's music before he started showing up on screen. The same goes for Travis Scott. Some self-awareness is needed though, because it's rather humbling to realise that not every celeb brought into the fold is aimed at your demographic.

Be right back - yours truly is away to yell at some passing clouds.

Seriously though, being aware enough to throw hands up and admit certain fans and a more casual market will get a pop out of seeing Scott do his thing on WWE TV is all fine and dandy. However, there was no call for Trav to walk out slower than Roman Reigns at 'Mania 41 during the main event between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, and there'd be a lot of heartache if he showed up at Backlash to inflict more misery on Cody.

Rhodes could run in and interfere during Cena vs. Orton. He has history with both and still has a bone to pick with JC. Cool, but please don't make his appearance a pathway towards Travis Scott treating him like some 1980s jobber on Superstars. It's already annoying enough that Scott seems to have been viewed as a fitting replacement for The Rock showing up in Las Vegas when he really, really wasn't.

Assuming Cody does show face in St. Louis, it'd be rotten if Travis avenged the Cross Rhodes from 'Mania by slapping him around like an in-ring equal. That'd be hard to stomach.
