In a nice change of pace, the Divas Title match was not the kickoff match, nor the popcorn match on the card. It seemed like the first chapter of what could be a very intense and long rivalry over the title between the two 'frenemies.' The two women fought a competitive and fairly scientific wrestling bout over the top female prize in the sport and both of them had opportunities to shine. There were no hair pulling or cat fight spots here, as AJ and Paige got the chance to show what they can do given a pay-per-view match. The last time we saw a Divas clash this good was the AJ/Kaitlyn title bout at 2013's Payback and it seems as if the company is going to pursue a lengthy feud here. The one intriguing thread left hanging was Paige's constant yelling at AJ to try harder and fight back. AJ walked away with the win and Paige sold a look of both disappointment and pride. There's way more to this than just a simple rivalry and we're glad that the WWE is investing more in this Divas Title feud than they've ever tried before
