In typical pro wrestling fashion, though, we’re saving the best for last here. In at number one is our most trivial piece of trivia, and perhaps the convoluted to explain — but here goes.

This year’s show will be the first time ever that the main event hasn’t included a real name. By that, I mean that the 2016 show will feature three kayfabe aliases competing for the WWE Championship; Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

This has never happened before.

Every other main event has featured at least one participant performing under his real name. in 2013 it was Randy Orton, while 2014 involved Orton and John Cena, then last year was the turn of Brock Lesnar to challenge for the WWE Championship.

So next time someone tells you that kayfabe is dead, you tell them that the fantasy is alive and well and you can find it right here at Battleground.

In the meantime, please feel free to comment below with your own trivia that I might have missed!
