WWE Battleground: 10 Facts You Didn't Know

8. Dean Ambrose Has Never Competed

Technically speaking, all three members of the Shield share winless runs at Battleground, because Dean Ambrose is also without a victory at the PPV.

But that’s only because he’s never actually competed in a match at the show.

In 2013, he was simply an extra at ringside, watching on as Rollins and Reigns lost to Cody Rhodes and Goldust. 12 months later, despite what Rollins will try to tell you, Ambrose didn’t officially participate in the event after Triple H had ejected him from the arena. And then last year, I don’t even know what to tell you; I guess Creative had nothing for him.

So whatever happens at the 2016 show, we’ll be treated to a first in the form of an actual Dean Ambrose match. And not only that but the winless records of both Rollins and Reigns mean that this time around, a member of the Shield is guaranteed to pick up their first-ever win at Battleground.
