WWE Battleground 2016: 10 Wrestling Matches We'd Rather See

9. Bray Wyatt Vs. Xavier Woods

I approve wholeheartedly with WWE's decision to delay the next instalment of the Cena Vs. Styles series by booking a six-man tag bout at Battleground in its place. It breaks up the monotony of the three match Cena arc while also elevating the Realest Guys In The Room to a prominent position. It's a win-win.

Wyatt Vs. Woods would be a similarly effective way of building excitement for the first in-ring confrontation between the Wyatt Family and the New Day - but in reverse. Of all the possible permutations, Wyatt Vs. Woods is the most logical. Wyatt, as the biggest star, needs to be in there, and Woods, who's been fearfully drawn towards Bray's lantern like a moth, would be the most intriguing prospect as challenger.

His defection has been teased, which WWE could play up both in the build up and on the night. The match itself would be fresh, and would suit both men. Like many stars on the WWE roster, Wyatt's best work was with Daniel Bryan, and while Woods isn't at the Yes! man's level, he hasn't been given the chance to show off his not inconsiderable singles game. The similar dynamic between the two men, with the added storyline wrinkle of Woods' weariness, has the potential to result in a nuanced and lively encounter.
